Get your boat ready for the season!

It's time to schedule your boat service and launch. To secure your preferred date, please complete and submit the attached service and launch date request form as soon as possible. All requests must be received by April 1st, 2026 to ensure timely completion.

Understanding Spring Launch Dates

Your requested launch date serves as a target. To accommodate our schedule, we may deliver your boat up to 10 days prior to your selected date. When choosing your date, please consider when you'll begin regular use of your boat. If you select ice-out, your boat will be serviced and ready for you at the earliest possible opportunity.

Please note: Boat deliveries and pickups are not available during Memorial Day weekend.

Before we can process your service request, all outstanding balances must be paid and your account must be current. If you have questions about your account status, please contact us—we're here to help.

All invoices are due upon receipt.

Payment Options

We offer convenient automatic billing for service and fuel purchases. To set up an automatic charge account or update your payment information, please call us. Fuel accounts require an active credit card on file, which will be charged immediately at the time of purchase.

LAUNCH & START (Included for storage customers): Remove boat from storage, connect battery, check engine block plugs and hoses for leaks, run up engine to operating temperature and verify water pump operation. Check correct operation and function of main systems(bilge pump, blower, lights, horn, steering, shifting, and trim).

TUNE-UP SERVICE: Tune-up parts included cap, rotor, spark plugs, and replacement of spark plug wires and engine belts if required. WATER PUMP IMPELLER SERVICE: Engine cooling systems on all boats require impeller service completed on a routine basis. Listed below are service intervals for popular engines: •Mercruiser Alpha drive engine - Every third season •Mercruiser Bravo drive engine – Every second season •Volvo Penta – Every season •Yamaha Outboards - Every third season •Mercury Outboards - Every third season •Inboards – Every season

WATER SYSTEM SERVICE: For freshwater faucets or shower/washdowns. Connect the plumbing, remove the antifreeze, fill it with fresh water, and verify the pump operation. Replace leaking seals and gaskets as required.

TOILET SYSTEM SERVICE: Connect plumbing, remove antifreeze, fill the flush water tank, and verify operation. (Note: toilet system service is not a cleaning of the toilet. That is offered in cleaning services listed)

FILL BOAT WITH FUEL: If this service is selected, we will fill your boat with fuel before delivery. If your boat is below 1/4 tank we will add fuel to your boat so the boat is not at the dock sitting empty.

GENERAL WASH: Hand wash decks and sides above the water line. Vacuum cockpit area and seats. Wipe down and clean all vinyl and hard surfaces in the cockpit area. Clean all windows. (Complete cleaning of interior cabinets and storage lockers is not included). (Please see below for other services available). Priced by the foot: $38 per foot plus materials

COMPLETE WASH & WAX: Wash and hand scrub the entire hull above the water line, all decks, the swim platform, and the companionway. Vacuum the entire cockpit area, including inside storage lockers, ski lockers, and cabinets. Apply marine cleaners to all hard surface areas in the cockpit and all storage areas. Apply vinyl cleaner to all cushions, seats, and trim. Wet wash and shampoo carpets. Apply mold and mildew cleaner to affected areas. Wash all windows and metal trim with glass cleaner to shine. Apply polymer wax to the entire hull above and below the water line and decks. The canvas will be wiped down and rinsed to remove loose dirt. This service does not include bilge or engine degreasing. Priced by the foot: $48.00 per foot plus materials

COMPOUND BUFFING: This service removes general oxidation and sun fade from the boat. It removes stains caused by organics and osmosis at the water (scum) line. Compound buffing will remove shallow scratches and blemishes in the gelcoat finish.

By selecting these services, I authorize F.R. Smith and Sons Marina to service my boat. All mechanical services are billed at the hourly shop rate of $192.00 plus materials. Remote (away from shop) labor is billed at an hourly rate of $212.00. Fiberglass/gel coat work is billed at an hourly rate of $222.00. Fee schedules are applied to work requiring environmental management, shop supplies, or handling. Equipment Fees are not included with any service or storage rate. Equipment is billed separately. The Equipment Fee Schedule is as follows: Ramp/Hoist $85.00, Hydraulic Service Trailer $195.00, Service Truck $38.00, and Service Boat $38.00. I acknowledge that payment is due upon delivery of services rendered.

The owner(s) of this boat warrant and affirmatively state that they have adequate boat insurance while the vessel is in the possession of F.R. Smith and Sons Marina. F.R. Smith and Sons Marina has relied on this affirmative assurance and will not provide supplementary or primary insurance coverage for damage or loss other than such loss caused by the negligence of F.R. Smith and Sons Marina employees. F.R. Smith and Sons Marina shall not be liable for any loss of, damage to, or loss of use of the above-referenced boat caused by any reason, including, but not limited to, fire, theft, storm, lightning, wind, or snow.
